What I Ate Wednesday, Christmas Day

Merry Christmas everyone!! Since today is also Wednesday, I made my best attempts to document what I had on this happiest of holidays.  My boyfriend and I are spending this entire week at his parents house, so today’s food choices were not made by me.  And since it’s a holiday, it’s kinda been a day of non-stop eating.  So bare with me!

Breakfast, 8:45am:

I had a cup of coffee with extra cream, and half of an apple danish from Costco.

Second Breakfast/Lunch, 12:15pm:

I ate this about 3 hours after I had my “first breakfast,” and it consisted of another cup of coffee, and a biscuit with Boar’s Head bacon, half of a fried egg, and Vermont cheddar cheese.

So sorry, but I forgot to photograph the breakfast sandwich, because I essentially inhaled it.  And once I remembered that I should have photographed it, they were all gone!

 Snack #1, 1:30pm:

These cookies were on the table in front of me while I was playing around on my computer, and I just couldn’t help myself, so I ate 3 of them.  They are homemade and extremely easy to make.

Ritz Cookies Recipe

 Ingredients:

Peanut Butter

Ritz Crackers

Baker’s Chocolate Bars

Take two Ritz crackers and make a sandwich with them, with peanut butter in the middle.  Melt down the baker’s chocolate in the microwave, and dip the crackers in the chocolate until they are entirely covered.  Lay them on some wax paper, and place in the freezer to harden.  Remove from freezer after one hour and eat ALL OF THEM!!! Just kidding.  But you will probably want to, because they are pretty delicious.

 Snack #2, 2:45pm:

Crackers with pepperoni and cheese

This little platter was placed right in front of me, so I made cute little cracker sandwiches to eat.  The crackers are a whole-wheat base with sesame seeds. Pepperidge Farm pepperoni slices and Harris Teeter brand Munster cheese were the other components to this snack platter.  I also had a glass of Prosecco with this, complete with the cute little holiday wine glass marker.

 Dinner, 6:00pm:

So dinner consisted of a variety of foods, and of course, I failed yet again, and forgot to take a picture of my plate, until after the fact.  But here is a list of what I ate.

-A slice of rare tenderloin; I love my steaks rare, so this was delicious.

2013-12-25 18.26.11

-A very thin slice of ham coated in Pecan Praline sauce.

-A small spoonful of that horrible-for-you-yet-awesome-tasting green bean casserole that Ashley mentioned around Thanksgiving.

-Corn, corn, and more corn, because I love corn.

-A salad with extra cucumbers topped with oil and balsamic vinegar.

-And finally, one yeast roll.

There were also options for mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, and onions to top the meat with, but I opted out on those.

I had a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon as my drink, as well as a glass of water.

 After dinner dessert, 6:45pm:

2013-12-25 18.26.35

A small slice of Chocolate Chess pie topped with whipped cream and a cup of coffee.  Boy, have I had a lot of coffee today!

Before bedtime sweets, 9:45pm:

As I’m finishing up writing this, I’m snacking on three pieces of chocolate from a Christmas present and drinking a glass of water!

And now I’m off to bed soon, because I work early in the morning tomorrow!  Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Bows and Arrows, Lynda
