It never fails that every time it gets below 40 degrees outside, my hair decides to have a mind of its own. For years, I would get frustrated that I could never find ways to keep my hair in check, but now that I have a routine down that works great for me, I thought I’d share it with all of you!
Herbal Essences Touchably Smooth Smoothing Shampoo
This shampoo was designed to deal with taming frizz and fly-aways and I think it works wonderfully. Plus it smells really good too, which is always a plus for hair products!
Goldwell Dualsenses Rich Repair Anti-Breakage Conditioner
This is my go-to conditioner year round, because I straighten my hair so often, but if you’re out there looking for a good winter conditioner, this one is it. It’s meant for dry and stressed hair, but even if you don’t have dry hair, this one helps protect your strands during the harsh winter months…that can cause your hair to dry out.
KMS California Free Shape Hot Flex Spray
It’s really important to not leave your house with wet hair, because that can cause damage on your locks. Even though heat is damaging to your hair as well, it’s better to blow it dry than to go outside with wet hair. I really love this spray because it’s meant to protect those locks from the heat of your styling tools and helps cut down on those fly-aways.
Batiste Dry Shampoo
During the winter months, hair stylists and beauty gurus say you should wash your hair less, because that can cause your hair more damage because of the constant styling, etc.. This is a good dry shampoo to use during the winter months to freshen up your hair on those days you choose to skip out on the shampoo in the shower.
Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle Leave-in Conditioner
This is something to apply every day, even if you’re hair is already the way you want it to look. This leave-in conditioner provides a layer of protection against the cold and cuts down on frizz and static fly-aways.
Do you have any products that you love to use during the winter months? Let me know in the comments!
