What I Ate Wednesday, 7/23

This was not a typical Wednesday for me in the slightest.  I spent the first half of my day modeling in a photo shoot (photos will come soon!).  I had to be up pretty early so I stopped at Bruegger’s for breakfast.  On my way to Bruegger’s, I had a banana.

Yes, this picture is on top of my car, but I had nowhere else to take it.  I already drank my 10 ounces of orange juice, so yeah…there’s an empty cup.  I also had a cup of their hazelnut coffee with extra cream.  I ended up only eating half of my bagel, which was an asiago softwich with light cream cheese and bacon!

For lunch, I met the boyfriend at Chick-Fil-A after my photo shoot and had a grilled market salad and a large sweet tea mixed with lemonade.

Before dinner, I ate what was left in my bag of Turtle Chex Mix, which wasn’t much.

2014-07-23 19.29.28

My dinner, which is not exciting at all because I just so happened to eat the exact same thing as I did during my last WIAW…was Chipotle!  The same exact bowl of chicken, brown rice, cheese, black beans and lettuce.  I didn’t finish it all though because I ate that Chex Mix about 30 minutes before dinner.

Once America’s Got Talent came on, I got sidetracked and totally forgot it was still Wednesday and didn’t take photos of the banana flavored popsicle or the pear I ate as snacks after dinner.  It’s also why I’m posting this at almost 11pm!  Speaking of AGT, was anyone else shocked that they were sending Juan Carlos through?!

 Anyways!

Have a great rest of the week!

What I Ate Wednesday, 6/18/14

It seems like it’s been so long since my last post, but I guess it hasn’t really. I ate some things today AND I also had the pleasure of finally seeing Lynda Lou after what seems like forever. We are busy ladies lately. I think we keep up with each other now mostly through the blog, which is a little sad considering we live only a couple miles away from each other. Our schedules just haven’t been matching up lately, but today they finally did! yay!

This is what I ate on this extremely HOT Wednesday…

Breakfast

IMG_20140618_075744_937Man, my picture taking skills really suck. I apologize. And yes, this is another awkward window sill picture aka my attempt at getting some natural light. My breakfast is pretty much the usual: gluten free oatmeal made with unsweetened vanilla almond milk, blueberries, banana, cinnamon, raw chopped walnuts, and a little bit of honey. I also had coffee (this kind from Caribou Coffee) with organic half and half. As you can see I am drinking coffee again, thank God! I have also added dairy back, but I think I am going to continue to limit my dairy intake for various reasons that I will talk about (if/when I ever post about my Elimination diet experience).

Lunch

IMG_20140618_134620_370For lunch I picked up the least healthy salad Chick fil A has, the Cobb salad. 😛 Oh yeah, I also had it with Ranch dressing. I know it’s bad (I hate referring to food as good/bad), but I obsessed over my food for a good 25 days, so you know what, I deserve this stupid “unhealthy” salad! I also ate a granny smith apple in between breakfast and lunch, but I did not get a picture of that. oops!

Snack

IMG_20140618_154837_051This is some delicious Turtle Cheesecake ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s! I told Lynda that when I finished with the Elimination diet and started to add dairy back, we HAD to go to Ben and Jerry’s. It was really her idea, because she was so shocked by the fact that I had never been before. So, today was my first ever trip to Ben and Jerry’s and it was very yummy. I swear I don’t live under a rock, although that might be kind of nice. 🙂

Dinner

Again, please excuse the terrible picture quality and poor lighting. This dinner was not really planned out ahead of time. Meal planning for this week has been kind of a fail. Anyway, this is baked Salmon (my go-to last minute dinner idea). I was craving something pasta-y so a quick google search lead me to this broccoli pasta side dish to go with the salmon. I thought it turned out really good. I used brown rice pasta instead of regular pasta, which by the way tastes exactly like whole wheat pasta to me. Not bad for a spur of the moment dinner.

As I’m typing this I am having a glass of lightly sweetened black iced tea. I usually crave something sweet after dinner, but I think maybe the ice cream from earlier has satisfied my sweet tooth for today at least. Or perhaps the tiny bit of sugar in my tea is enough? Who knows!

Thank you for reading! Hope you have a fantastic rest of your week!

Ashley

What I Ate Wednesday 4/30/14

About that weather today!!!  Flash flood and tornado warnings are fun!  Especially when my dog child wakes me up at 5am by jumping on the bed because she’s afraid and needs someone to cuddle with her and make her feel safe!  She’s a cutie though, so it’s alright. 🙂

Breakfast:

2014-04-30 09.20.19

I started off with my typical coffee with organic half and half.  It’s about that time for me to go to the grocery store again, so today, I’m working with what I’ve got.  My breakfast was a container of Yoplait French vanilla yogurt mixed with some all-natural vanilla almond granola by Creative Snacks Co. and a Nonni’s cioccolati biscotti.

Lunch:

2014-04-30 12.08.58

For lunch I ate some tri-colored rotini pasta with Classico vodka sauce.  I also drank a bottle of water.

 Dinner:

2014-04-30 15.25.57 2014-04-30 15.26.33

My dinner was a Grilled Market Salad from Chick-Fil-A with their zesty apple cider vinaigrette dressing.  I also had a small cup of coffee with cream from Starbucks…gotta keep myself awake when I work at night!

 Snack:

We had an event at my job tonight, so I drank a small glass of Perrier and had a cupcake from the local bakery, Sugarland.  It was delicious, but unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of the cupcake because I was at work, and I just didn’t think to take a picture of it.

2014-04-30 22.31.18

When I got home, I drank a cup of Bojangles sweet tea, because it was just sitting there…waiting to be drank…by someone…and I couldn’t let it go to waste!  It was clearly from my boyfriend’s dinner, he just never drank it.  So I did instead!

It’s not much, but that’s everything for this weather warning Wednesday!

Bows and Arrows,

Lynda
