My week was snow-filled, a bit crazy, and I didn’t get nearly as much accomplished as I wanted (I blame the snow).  Here’s a peek at my last few days!

Look what I got!  I somehow managed to received this on the snow day while my power was out, and I’m so excited to share my review of the products inside. The products in this box were sent to me complimentary for testing purposes, and I’ll share more with you in my review next week!

Lately with Lynda

I’m off this weekend, so I’m trying to make the most of it by filling my days with fun and getting all my errands for the week done now.  Here’s a glimpse from my past week!

Valentine’s macarons from Michael.  They were so delicious!

I bought myself a little something for Valentine’s Day.  If you haven’t heard of Sugarfina, you should definitely check it out!

Lately with Lynda

I’ve decided that instead of calling this series “A Week in Pictures,” I’m changing it to Lately with Lynda.  Why?  Well…mainly because I can 🙂 , but also because I really like alliteration.  What do you think?

Starting off my weekend right with breakfast at Lucette Grace in Downtown Raleigh.

Touring some potential new places to live in T-minute 3 months.

Grabbing lunch at The Yardhouse in North Hills.  This surf and turf burger was awesome.

My flowers might almost be dead, but they still look pretty fancy up against a white wall.

Midweek snack from, you got it, Lucette Grace.  This thing was delicious!

Yes…I had a lot of snacks this week.  Well, chocolatey things that I decided to share with all of you…but this edible cookie dough is heaven in a jar.  Just so you know. (And you can buy it at Harris Teeter!)

New Year’s Vacation, Day 4 Travel Home

Today, I made my way back home, but I thought I’d make this quick post to let everyone know that my mini vacation is now over.  It was really nice to see my parents, and also to see the mountains during the winter snow.  Here are just a couple of other photos from the remainder of my trip.

New Year’s Vacation, Day 2

Today is my second day in the mountains in Maryland, and we woke up to snow!  Since my parents live in an area where there are more trees and wild animals than people, we spent the whole day at home, instead of attempting to get on the dangerous roads to go anywhere.  Here are a few photos from the day.

New Year’s Vacation: Travel Day

It’s the 5th day of the year, and I’ve already been in 4 states!  Today, I spent the majority of my time driving to Maryland to visit my family.  My parents live in Western Maryland, which means my route to get there from Raleigh, goes through both Virginia and West Virginia.  I didn’t capture much from today, but here are a few pictures of some of what I saw on my way.

Entering Virginia.  Unfortunately, I missed the West Virginia sign, and I never saw a Maryland one.  Probably because at that point, I was more concerned about the “falling rock” signs everywhere as well as trying my hardest to not run off the edge of the cliff. :p

I made a quick stop at Short Pump Town Center since it wasn’t out of my way so I could exercise my legs (and speed shop)!

The sun was setting, and I could see the mountains in the distance.

Somewhere in West Virginia.  It’s pitch black when no one else is on the road.

Can you believe this is a road?!  I’m not even kidding.  One wrong turn, and you’re off the edge.  Also, there’s no cell service, so it’s really exciting when you get lost.

 

Look!  It’s a Jack in the box!  My parents dog all cuddled up in his box ready for bed.  It’s going to be a crisp 18 degrees tonight, and I’ll most likely be waking up to snow in the morning.

My Week in Pictures 12/15-12/21

The week before Christmas is officially over, and it still doesn’t feel like Christmas is only 4 days away to me.  I finally finished wrapping all my presents for others tonight, and am about to hop in bed since I work before the sun comes up tomorrow!

Preparing for my midnight Christmas wrapping party with myself, with some much needed music and tea.

My Week in Pictures 12/1-12/5

The first half of this week, I had what I’m going to call a mini vacation. aka, 3 days off in a row.  Of course, I didn’t really know what to do with myself during that time besides clean and go a bit stir crazy, but it was still nice to have off (something I never got this time last year).  Here are some pictures highlighting my week, and if you want to see more current adventures of mine, you can always follow me on instagram @lynda_lou_who

My Weekend in Pictures 10/24-10/26

 

I was originally supposed to be out of the state this weekend, however, that did not happen, so I spent my weekend relaxing around Raleigh.  Here are some tidbits from my weekend.

Gabi attempting to be friendly with her new roommate, Luna.  And by friendly, I mean, she sat close to her for approximately 5 minutes.

The beautiful sunrise on Friday morning.  I love waking up early on days off to enjoy the whole day…even if I do take a mid-afternoon nap!

I baked a pumpkin pie, because you just have to at least once in the month of October!

My Week in Pictures 10/6-10/10

It’s exciting when it actually starts to feel like the season is changing, even if it still climbs to 80 degrees each day.  Although I haven’t officially bought a pumpkin yet (I know, what’s wrong with me), I did embrace the month a lot more this week than I did last week.

Getting ideas for how I want to decorate in the future with CB2 magazines.  I love the circular dinnerware and hexagonal mirrors.

I spent an hour in the Historic Oakwood Cemetery.  If you’ve never been there, you definitely need to go at least once.  So much history there.  And it’s so beautiful.  Just one of the many obelisks at Oakwood Cemetery.
