What I Ate Wednesday 4/30/14

About that weather today!!!  Flash flood and tornado warnings are fun!  Especially when my dog child wakes me up at 5am by jumping on the bed because she’s afraid and needs someone to cuddle with her and make her feel safe!  She’s a cutie though, so it’s alright. 🙂

Breakfast:

2014-04-30 09.20.19

I started off with my typical coffee with organic half and half.  It’s about that time for me to go to the grocery store again, so today, I’m working with what I’ve got.  My breakfast was a container of Yoplait French vanilla yogurt mixed with some all-natural vanilla almond granola by Creative Snacks Co. and a Nonni’s cioccolati biscotti.

Lunch:

2014-04-30 12.08.58

For lunch I ate some tri-colored rotini pasta with Classico vodka sauce.  I also drank a bottle of water.

 Dinner:

2014-04-30 15.25.57 2014-04-30 15.26.33

My dinner was a Grilled Market Salad from Chick-Fil-A with their zesty apple cider vinaigrette dressing.  I also had a small cup of coffee with cream from Starbucks…gotta keep myself awake when I work at night!

 Snack:

We had an event at my job tonight, so I drank a small glass of Perrier and had a cupcake from the local bakery, Sugarland.  It was delicious, but unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of the cupcake because I was at work, and I just didn’t think to take a picture of it.

When I got home, I drank a cup of Bojangles sweet tea, because it was just sitting there…waiting to be drank…by someone…and I couldn’t let it go to waste!  It was clearly from my boyfriend’s dinner, he just never drank it.  So I did instead!

It’s not much, but that’s everything for this weather warning Wednesday!

What I Ate Wednesday 2/19/14

Ok, before I delve into all the wonderful things I ate yesterday, let me just say that last Wednesday it was SNOWING.  Yes, snowing.  And this Wednesday, it was 72 degrees outside.  Such weird weather patterns here in the good ol’ NC.  Anywho, here’s what you’re waiting for:

Breakfast:

2014-02-19 08.58.05

For breakfast, I drank my typical coffee with organic cream.  I also drank a bottle of water, but I didn’t take a picture of it.

I ate an apple turnover, a navel orange, and a banana.  While I would like to say that my apple turnover was homemade, because I haaaave made them before, it was actually one of those Pepperidge Farm frozen Puff Pastry Turnovers that you bake for 20 minutes to delicious perfection.  I devoured the turnover, then I ate a banana and navel orange as they were.  I love me some fruit!

Lunch:

I was at work during lunch, so I only had a limited amount of time to eat, and seeing as I didn’t really give myself time to pack a lunch before I left for work this morning, I decided to go to Panera Bread during my lunch break.  I ordered the “You Pick Two” option for a salad and sandwich however, I only had enough time to eat the salad (and I just took my sandwich home for lunch tomorrow).  So here was my lunch:

2014-02-19 14.27.52

The “You Pick Two” sized portion of their classic salad with extra cucumbers and their balsamic vinaigrette.  I also drank half a bottle of water with my lunch.  So boring, I know.

Snack:

2014-02-19 17.00.26

Since my lunch wasn’t terribly filling, I had a snack when I got home from work, so I could fuel up to take my Gabberwocky on a “walky!”  I ate a cup of French Vanilla Yoplait yogurt mixed with ¼ cup of French Vanilla Almond Granola from Nature Box.  I can never have enough vanilla flavored things!  It doesn’t look terribly appetizing, but it sure is!  I drank the other half of my bottle of water during my snack time as well.  Yes, I am 23 and I used the term “snack time” when referring to my own day.  I also have a “nap time” if you were wondering.

Dinner:

2014-02-19 19.13.20

While my chicken was baking in the oven, I made myself a glass of strawberry lemonade herbal tea from Teavana with a teaspoon of their German rock sugar added to it.  I also drank this during dinner, and yes, that is a Stictch cup.  I’m only kind of a kid. 🙂

For dinner, I made my own simple recipe of baked Italian chicken (I will post the recipe for this dish at a later date), as well as some Uncle Ben’s Butter and Garlic rice with some seasoning (rosemary, thyme, and basil) added to it, and French style green beans. 2014-02-19 20.12.18

I have to say, I was not a fan of this flavor of rice, and I haven’t ever disliked any of the Uncle Ben’s flavors of rice.  I tried to ‘doctor it up’ as much as I could with the seasoning I added, but I think there was just too much ‘fake butter flavor’ (is that even a thing) in it for me to like it.  So I ended up eating only a third of the rice that I had on my plate. Womp womp.

Dessert:

2014-02-19 21.06.05

Because I didn’t completely finish all of my dinner, since I wasn’t a fan of the rice, I ate my dessert less than an hour after I finished my dinner.  And my dessert consisted of an entire can of peaches (yes, unfortunately the kind in the oh-so-sugary syrup) as well as 4 Birthday Cake Oreos.  And let’s not get me started on how delicious those are…2014-02-16 18.49.50

So there ya have it!  What I put in my tummy on our wonderfully sunny Wednesday!

Bows and Arrows,

Lynda
