So sorry this wasn’t posted last night! This week was actually Ashley’s week for WIAW, but since she is on a surprise trip that she only found out about on Tuesday night, we thought I should post my Wednesday eats again this week! Yesterday started the first day of my mini vacation, so I decided to try a couple new places I’d never been before, and also go to some places I rarely go.
Breakfast
I have yet to go grocery shopping (I’ll finally be doing that today!), which means I didn’t have many options for breakfast this morning. I ate a handful of walnuts and a slice of buttered toast with cinnamon sugar on top. I also drank a small glass of orange juice and half a cup of coffee with the usual half and half.
Lunch
For lunch, I stopped at a little paninoteca in downtown Durham called Toast. I’ve been there once before and it was just as delicious as I remembered it! I definitely recommend it if you’re ever in the area! I had a Panini with prosciutto, mozzarella, and tomatoes, and drank a glass of water with a lemon slice.
Snack
Before I left Durham, I stopped at Monut’s Donuts to pick up a few donuts to take home with me. I’d never been there before, but I’ve heard a lot of great things! When I got home, I ended up eating half of one of their lemon crumb donut’s and had a glass of black tea and lemonade. The donut was delicious, but I decided to be nice and save the other half for my boyfriend to try!
Dinner

I met up with a friend and went to Sushi Blues in downtown Raleigh for dinner, which is a place I love, but don’t go enough. I had a peach mojito, some water, one of their house salads with ginger dressing, and one and a half of their New Orleans rolls (I took the rest home to eat today for lunch). The New Orleans roll is a roll with spring mix, shrimp, avocado, cucumber, and mayo. Sooo good!
Dessert

After dinner, we decided to go to Bittersweet, which is a cute little dessert and cocktail bar in downtown Raleigh. I had never been there before, but I loved it, and will definitely go back. I had a latte made with Counter Culture coffee, and my dessert was chocolate espresso mousse. It was To. Die. For. Not a joke. Hands down the best mousse I’ve ever eaten. (And isn’t that cookie plate the cutest behind my dessert?!)
