Man. What a day I had. It’s the day before Thanksgiving, and unlike a lot of people, I was not spending it traveling to a destination for the holidays. (Which is good for you guys, because if I did, you would see a bunch of fast food and things purchased from gas stations.) I actually spent 10 hours of my day at work (minus the 1 hour lunch break, but I was still there so it counts). And then I spent over an hour in my car, because I have to get to and from work in what I’ll call the ‘lovely holiday traffic.’
Once I finally got home, it actually dawned on me that tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and even though I know I’ll be at my boyfriend’s house with all of his family, I feel like I’m just now realizing that the holidays are here and I haven’t planned a thing.
So now I’m sitting here, giving all of you the details of my fabulous food choices today, the day before Thanksgiving. Exciting. I hope you don’t read this tomorrow after you’ve had your big meal. For me, reading, thinking, or seeing more food after I feel stuffed is slightly sickening. Anyways, moving right along…here’s the real reason why you’re here.
Breakfast:
I made myself a cup of hazelnut coffee this morning before I left for work and drank half of it on the way there. I drank the rest of it, along with a bottle of water, with a cinnamon bun from Daylight Donuts leftover from a work event. Yes, it was 3 days old, but I don’t care. I warmed it up, and it was still just as delicious.
Lunch:
Lunch was leftovers from dinner the other night. I made bowtie noodles with homemade meat sauce. I didn’t end up eating the entire container I brought for myself, just so you’re aware.
Dinner:
As if all the stuff I’ll be eating tomorrow isn’t going to be enough, I filled all my meals today with carbs. Great idea, Lynda. My dinner was cheesy bread dipped in marinara sauce from Marco’s Pizza. I really think it’s a thing to do before Thanksgiving…either eat out, or get pizza, because no one wants to make dinner tonight, when all you’re doing is preparing for tomorrow.
Snack:
After dinner, I made myself a cup of pumpkin spice coffee and ate some pie crust cookies (which I’ll be sharing with you very soon). And that’s it for today. As many carbs as I could fit into my body. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll make a few more healthy choices, however, I don’t forsee that happening. :p
So now might be a good time to let you know, WIAW will be no more. This is the last one! It’s been a full year that Ashley and I have posted the food we put in our bellies for you to see, and now is the time to let it rest. Food related posts will most definitely still occur, just no longer in this form. I hope everyone enjoyed our year long series, and are looking forward to what’s in store for A Bow and Arrow.
And just for fun, here’s a silly picture of my fur baby, Gabi!
